Design As Protest

DAP Workshop
Oakland, CA

A collaborative day of “using design as a means to speak out in support of the disinherited and marginalized communities at risk during the current administration.”  Partnered with Open Collaborative, Landspace Designer Rachel McQueen, I represented SFNOMA and acted as one of the lead facilitator and mentor as I was a participant in the first DAP.  We gathered over 40 community members, artist, activists, and designers together in pursuit of a design intervention with the explicit intention of addressing issues of injustice throughout the built environment.
